Quake 2 port running and being played on the Nokia 5800 Xpress Music. This is the actual Quake 2 game not some lame doom mod.
You need to download the S60 Quake 2 files from http://koti.mbnet.fi/hinkka/Download.html
Get the FPU version and install this on your phone. You'll also need WAD files, I used the shareware one for this, just copy this to the phone, instructions are on the link above. Once installed you wont be able to control it unless you install Virtual Key. This is not available signed so you will need to be able to sign apps (Try www.s60certkey.com if you need help with this). Thats is, runs really well, just needs accelerometer and/or touch screen control and it'd be really playable

  • "Quake 2 playable [...]"

    You call that playable, moron! A phone is to make call. Enough with that hipster fagotry of putting computer games on useless device. Fuck you.

  • @newtubetubetube What? Your right, its not really playable with the lack of hardware buttons but it runs ok. But why do you feel the need to come on here and verbally abuse me, well done, you have achieved nothing!

  • If Only You Could Video The Tutorial ....I mean how to Install it......It would have been Better than This Video

  • @HaseebAsad This video was made to prove that it was possible to run Quake 2 on the 5800. Theres not enough buttons on the phone to make it an enjoyable experience to play so it seemed more important to show the game running than anything else.

  • nice, sometimes when you shoot you stand still sometimes you go forward .

    Thats sooo lame, i play GTA IV on my 5800 XD

    Thats sooo redicilous .

    Even Quake 2 needs 800MHz the Nokia 5800 XM has 369 MHz .

    @peterbeno29 no, he's not 10 look, he is/gets 12 XD

  • @staudi1992 I'm not saying its brilliant, it was more of a 'wow thats impressive' sort of thing, its never going to be playable with that control scheme but its not fake, its runs full speed as you can clearly see in the video, the reason I am shooting when moving forward is that both keys are mapped to the same button, half pushed to shut, full pushed to walk forward (its the camera shutter button)
