Jo Stafford - Big D (1956)

Recorded and released April 1956 with Paul Weston and his music from Hollywood. B-side "Warm All Over" (Which I have also posted). Both songs are from Frank Loesser's musical "The Most Happy Fella". To my knowledge this single did not chart however it is a very rousing rendition from one of my favorite vocalists.

I remember this as a kid growing up in Baltimore in the 50's......It awakenings some dear and beautiful feelings. Too bad it seems to be lost in time. I found it googling "Standing on the corner".
