Just Wright, "Common and Queen Latifah in a grown up Love & Basketball...."

Some things are just meant to be. When I first watched this trailer and read the notes on the movie, I couldn't help but thinking of one of my favorite genre films, Love & Basketball. Not that this film is a knock off in any way, but it just seems to have a sort of familiarity in a good way. If you do the 6 degrees of seperation, you have Michael Elliot, who wrote Brown Sugar, which starred Sanaa Lathan who also starred in Love & Basketball and then the film is directed by Sanaa Hamri......You get where I am going with this. Anyhow, great to see my boy Common in a grown up role, not that being a contract killer in Wanted, or part of the revolution on Terminator was not grown up enough, but this role gives him a lot more depth and a chance to really show his acting chops. Mix that with Sanaa Hemri directing, hopefully we have a new classic. Great cast, looks to be a great story, and great filmmakers, sounds like this movie will be Just Wright!
