Well I started listening in the 2000's because I'm only 18, but I still listen to music before the 2000's. Your "initiation date" doesn't matter. It's important for the new generation to carry on the tradition.

@FuneralDust666 Fuck that shit, mate. Been listening to metal since I was 8 years old, the year 2000, and was guided by my Dad and his record collection. That's eleven years of heavy metal, and taht doesn't count?

Metal is about acceptance, not exclusivity. You talk to a guy who likes the same band as you, you're brothers. You don't ignore him because he, by chance, was born a few years too fucking late.
