The game consumes alot more power than it really should, or it might be a driver-issue with the 2900XT... Anyways, runs kind of bad even while looking only decent so I threw down the settings in the second clip from 4xAA and 16xAF to no AntiAliasing and 8xAF to make it recordable.

When not recording I hit a average 45FPS, while recording it ran 50% of that average.

The demo campaign is very bad as a concept, it is only a American act to try the Iraq war/war in the middle east to look clean, smooth and proffessional which is all wrong. They even want to make the Cluster Bombs appear accurate and effective...
The enemy models are pretty much just updated models used in Call of Duty 2 for the Britts, which feels bad.

Fights are never-ending, AI is untalented if not all static and environments are sterile and weapons are identical to each other in effectiveness, only rate of fire differ. But it still feels like a pretty good multiplayer title as the previous CoD games.

This game is nowhere close to the first CoD game when it comes to innovation or gameplay - but it feels kind of cool still, music is pretty good - about the same tracks as we saw for the US in Command & Conquer: Generals, so nothing new here, but it works.

The main problem is the never-ending fights and awful AI - it's funny how the aging F.E.A.R. AI is still standing pretty good even today.

Average 45FPS with:
MSI K9A Platinum, X580.
AMD Athlon X2 6000+ (stock)
2048mb PC6400, CL4.
ATi Sapphire HD 2900XT
200GB 7200RPM IDE-based Barracuda.
Creative X-fi Xtreme Gamer
Catalyst 7.10

  • if my pc can run the demo should it also be able to run the full game ?

  • @simpsonsbeemer

Basically. Some moments in the campaign and/or multiplayer might be more demanding than the portion of the demo.

  • call of duty 5 might be a funday it might be 10 times better like the ai is just as talented as u and when that guy got attacked at the stair he would have a wrstle or fist fight with him

  • The AI has nothing to do with diffucility. The AI in Call of Duty games has always stayed since the first game. In Call of Duty 4 the enemy doesn't even try to survive, they just stands there shooting.

A more talented AI would try to stay under cover, use pathfinding properly to utilize covers further away or closer the target and properly realise the environment to make it convincing. I doubt Activision will put some work into the AI, they instead throw in numbers of zombies.

  • can you go online with the demo?

  • Nope, strictly single-player.
