i actually started off playing fingerstyle (which i will use every now and again) but i found it much harder to learn with a pick (which i use more anyway)
theres just something a lot rockier about the pick

Absolutely. Plus i hate people starting me @ Jason's technique. Jason has really rough style of playing with the whole arm, witch requer's much skill. I really miss him, and i dont like Trujilio.

@xwraden At least someone has some common sense... people who say fingerstyle is harder than pickstyle are just lazy cunts, you can train yourself to be good at both of them. Fingerstyle is piss easy

i never really disliked any of the past bass players in Metallica, Cliff has an outstanding lead bass style, Jason's solos are clean and warm feeling, and Rob is on the funkier side of bass
