Raven - Austin Pets Alive!

Raven is a handsome, bright, eager, lovable dog who is looking for a forever home. Raven had some behavior issues when first rescued from the euthanasia list at the local shelter, but APA! has discovered that these are not an issue if he stays on an inexpensive medication. Raven would do best in a home without children and one where he will be able to give and receive lots of attention. So why haven't I found my forever home yet? Well, I've had a pretty tough road. When I first showed up at my foster parents' house, I would sometimes act aggressively and spin around in circles. Everyone thought that I was just a naughty boy! It turns out that I was having small focal seizures. Can you imagine what I was going through at the shelter? It was a really bad time for me in such a scary, noisy environment.

Thankfully, my foster parents were willing to work with me and try to get me on the correct medications. I have been doing really well on inexpensive, daily medications for the seizures and a low protein diet. I am a wonderful little boy now!

I will do best in a home without children, and one that has more quiet than commotion. I like to be a homebody, keeping you company and being your best friend. I'd like a fun home with lots of stimulating activities to do there. I even enjoy the company of calm canine or feline friends. Since I am a special little guy, only experienced owners who are willing to maintain my medication and diet faithfully will be considered for my adoption.

I just need someone with a big heart, a firm but gentle hand to guide me, and a sense of humor to tolerate any lapses in ideal behavior - all in exchange for many years of loyal companionship and the knowledge that you made the difference for me.
