Smart Gilas Vs Singapore Slingers1

Sept. 23, 2009. Smart Gilas won 70 to 67. I really thought the GILAS would trash the Slingers, with only 2 American imports and Al Vergara and the rest looks like Singaporean or from china. The Slingers played hard but the better team won that night. Japeth Aguilar with his size has a soft touch from the perimeter together with CJ Giles, they did most of the damage from the paint, offense and defense. Casio, Barroca, and Chris Tiu also had a great night. They need to bulk up Japeth and Cj Giles so they would withstand the banging inside the paint once the FIBA tournament starts. Practice more, train hard... GO GILAS!!!!

virolf siguro ngayun alam mo na na japeth can shoot from 3 kailangan lang iimprove! bago mag olympics eiropean style of basketball na mga yan.,galing ng line up nito! hindi lahat magagaling yung iba matangkad lang ka2lad ni sison hindi sya masyado magaling pero pag naglaro sila as a team ang galing! magiimprove pa ng malaki tong team na to!

Singapore Slingers should hire more foreign players on their team maybe add more Filipino players like what they did last year getting Jason Castro and now AL Velgara XD.

Just wanna correct what the author says. Al Velgara is a pure blooded filipino who just play 1 conference in PBA. Smart Gilas Pilipinas is just a developmental team compose of players from collegiate rank w/ only one foreign player. And yeah they still won against your Singapore Slingers what more if thats the Powerade Team Pilipinas who finish 7th in FIBA asia LOL
