For nearly two months BP officials: * Obstructed cleanup efforts and didn't provide proper equipment to do it * Suppressed vital information * Told cleanup workers they'd be fired if they spoke to the media * Lied from day one about what really happened and its severity * Denied adequate compensation to Gulf victims * Withheld respirators and other protective gear from cleanup workers, many now ill from flu-like symptoms, including severe headaches, dizziness, nosebleeds, chest pains, and trouble breathing that may persist, become worse and, for many, be long-lasting or permanent * Ordered workers showing up with respirators and other protective gear to remove it or be fired * On June 17, BP CEO Tony Haywood stonewalled the House Energy and Commerce Subcommittee on Oversight and Investigation by refusing to provide information he knows as chief operating officer

This is not surprising as BP is no stranger to environmental crime. Over the past two decades, BP subsidiaries have been convicted of three crimes in Alaska and Texas, including two felonies. BP also holds the dubious honor of receiving the stiffest fine in history for work safety violations.

  • Seriously, stop all the conspiracy bullshit. So BP made a mistake, no need to keep going on at them. After the US invaded the middle east for oil I really don't think you have much to compain about anyway.

  • @cssadiction Nature and the health of humanity is at steak, there is plenty to complain about. I give a rats' ass about oil, and the psychopaths that rule the oil companies. You're just another dinosaur with its head in the sand suffering from conspirofobia

  • NO ACCIDENT. EPA GUILTY, US CORPORATE FEDS GUILTY, BP GUILTY, QUEEN ELIZABITCH OWNS BP GUILTY.

  • @lumeriam Global Civil Disobedience to participate in the system will bring down the system, we need to create alternatives to the monetary system first so it won't hurt us as much when it stops. Bartering, taking care of eachother, becoming a real community again, seeing eachother as people again, and take life by its roots and see it for what it is.. one grande and amazing miracle that we're part of

  • its fake!!!! even this guy that near the water never seen the oil!!! lol!!!!! its not an oil spill!!! its a distraction!!! you are all idiots forbeliving this shit.

  • @TheCameoAfro1 enlighten us then with your information on what it is, I'd appreciate it.

  • Conspiracy Theory?.............. No, this is Fact.......obviously a Mass cover up and a excuse to pollute the golf coast with Unknown chemicals into the sea, theirs no telling what those planes are dropping into the water, yes the oil spill was deliberate, just so they can toss in a UNKNOWN chemicals into the water we use.

  • Nothing like a good Agi-Prop video to rile up people's emotions...

  • @pushead2600 every solution has its own set of problems. Reliable renewable sources of producing electricity, batteries that don't require plastics (refined oil) etc etc. I agree in moving forward. I don't agree with mass hysteria created by the same groups that already profit from our current energy sources.

I guess most people forget that this is history repeating itself. As technology advances, so to will our energy sources change. Mankinds only problem is they are against going backwards.

  • we'll be sorry.. one day we as a race of human beings will be very sorry for what we did and what we do to this planet when were ether drowning becourse we're 7 to 8 metres underwater then say that we dont have anything to fucking complain about!!! fuck bp fuck oil .. we need to do what nikola testla planed on doing in 1800 and run the whole world on electricity even cars you moronic oil companys!!!

  • Haha Humans are a funny species! even when things turned to shit they still keep thinking everything is alright? and the shitty thing is they make themselves believe this. Time to make a change in thinking people.
