@sniperpistol50 You are absolutely correct sir.

@dixie60 Yeah... but who kept you fed, supplied with ammo, and built your airplanes? We called them Liberty ships and we lost hundreds of them (because no one thought about the german subs). But HEY, at least ur not pussies like the French >:D Only ones to collect that money after the war and only bitching about the "beautiful country side."

eddie you are the best zombie anyone could ever wish for

@TheRisingDown The song is also about British spirit (or any Valorous spirit) in time of need, and taking a gamble for the sake of something important, told using this medium but yes in regards to the war you are correct that this song is about the Battle of Britain. And the Spitfire is still considered a great plane and the Spitfire and the less respected but more important Hurricane which truely won our aerial combat. The Battle of Britain wasnt famous for being just RAF vs Luftwaffe it's more

@TheRisingDown They weren't "WAY more advanced" but more effciently designed. Our advantage lay in our better pilots, and that the german crafts had only 50 miles of fuel (or there abouts) and the channel is ~20 miles across. It's genuinely great to see an American who understands sarcasm! It's the reason alot of british comedy doesn't translate across the pond. Well, Vietnam fought off china countless times in the ages of the dynasty, a tiny country against the greatest power in the world then.

@AttitudeCastle I was being saurcastic. England held off the might of the german war machine, and that is not only more than any single country can say, but this song is also ONLY about the battle of brittain. The Brittish Defeating the Germans with only thier airforce, in defence of thier homelands. By the way, the germans had WAY more advanced fighters and bombers.

@gally612 Erm what are you talking about? England wasn't a dying country! No one was starving, we have more than enough resources just we weren't processing them as fast as we needed to. ALSO We don't have supply lines the Britsh islands have always been self contained, we have someone of the most fertile lands on the planet, and (along with your country Canada) one of the 3 countries on the planet with sustainable fresh water supplies. (the third being Russia) and canada fought too remember!
every Maiden song has great lyrics
