well said .. :) I personnaly think there is no wrong form of Islam, aslong as it's peacefull .. I hate extremist interpretating the Koran exactly like they want it to be.. so they can justify their bad deeds, which gives us all a bad name.

@3choBlast3r Islam is complete form of believe and there are no "gray" area in Islamic teachings. Everything is precise and clear.

That Imam who smokes doesn't understand the Quran the way it was suppose to be understood. And the Imam who tells you that it is forbidden must not quote you the verse i quoted you and maybe he is still learning.

Islam is not like any other religion. We have prove and faith. Smoking kills you in the long run and damages the whole body. Now u know

Yes, there is a verse in the Quran that says "smoking is forbidden" . The scientific community agreed that Smoking kills you and scientific research confirms it.

" O you who believe do not eat up your property among yourselves in vanities: but let be among you traffic and trade by mutual good-will: NOR KILL(or destroy) yourselves: for verily Allah has been to you most merciful" (Sura Nisa Verse-29)

Smoking kills and destroys you and it says in the Koran. Now u know

@logos1977 Just as there are ethics for employment, economy, freedoms, education etc in Islam, so are there ethical regulations for science and research in Islam. For instance under a true Islamic government the space programs such as Nasa's will not be allowed until there is surplus money available with the state after ensuring that subjects of the state will not go hungry, un-employed and un-educated. Of course the U.S funds stupid programs at the expense of its people's welfare.

I am pro democracy in my country and wish a country where every respects everyone's choice. At this point, I am against the flex laws towards the religious freedom. The reason is AKP wants to make the transformation wo concretely establishing the individual's rights and protecting everyone's freedom of choice with strict laws. Turkey is a volatile country. I agree there is not equilibrium but a wrong move on to other side is a civil war. AKP is not convincing to people.
