A COLLEAGUES IN LAWS RECENTLY INHERITED THE HOUSE AND CONTENTS OF AN OLD LADY WHO WAS BORN IN 1909 AND DIED RECENTLY.IN THE HOUSE WAS A 1933 RADIOGRAM AND A PILE OF RECORDS AND THIS WAS ONE OF THEM.POSSIBLY BOUGHT FOR THE NEW GRAM.APPARENTLY THE OLD LADY WAS VERY SMART AND ELEGANT AND SHE AND HER WELL TO DO HUSBAND LED A COMFORTABLE LIFE,THOUGH SHE BECAME VERY FRAIL AND HOUSE BOUND IN ADVANCED OLD AGE.I CAN PICTURE THEM DANCING TO THIS AS IT PLAYED ON THEIR NEW GRAM AS A SMART YOUNG COUPLE IN 1933.

What a lovely story you can imagine those 2 dancing together all those years ago. Henry Hall is so good too.

Indeed, 'Roll Up The Carpet and Dance'. This Rose has a particularly sweet fragrance of memory.

A nice reflection of a life and times gone buy. This music no doubt represents a fond favourite of the couple and their tale is now here for everyone to see. Their lives did not go forgotten. How nice.

What a nice story. Time moves on and though our elders have to leave us the 78rpm (with a little care and affection) remain with us - totally timeless. A nice Henry Hall and totally new to me. I will date it for you soon.

A new and nice tune to me. And what a sad but beautifal story about this record and gram. Keep up!
