I can't forgive him for taking the poor animals lives, I can't ever. But I respect he has served his time. And just cuz he is good at football doesn't mean he is automaticly a hero...? Well that's my opinion. If I was a child abuser and killed children, would America forgive me if I could let's say sing well? No. Why with dogs?

i had a dog once and i kicked the shit out of him whenever he displeased me. big deal. i had another dog who was part pit bull. he was a mean one but he feared me, because he knew i'd kick his ass if he got out of pocket. i should have fought him a few times, probably would still be alive today. if only i could go back in time and have him fight some other pits, he'd have been a grand champion and i would have a bunch of money.

Given the fact that being a professional footfall player knocks ten to fifteen years off of ones life expectancy and significantly decreases the quality of life, I wonder why dog fighting is a crime and pro football is not.
Do we as a society value pets more than athletes?
(Just asking. I think dog fighting is six and I am a big NFL fan.)

I agree that people should have the opportunity to reform and everything, but I don't believe for one second that Michael Vick has reformed. The buildings he did the dogfighting in were painted black. BLACK. So they couldn't be seen at night during fighting. He absolutely was not a product of his upbringing. He knew what he was doing was illegal and immoral. The only thing he's sorry about is he got caught. Have you forgotten he was electrocuting some of those dogs? He's a former dog-torturer.

What about slavery? Wasn't that worse then what happened to those dogs? What about Vick's fore fathers who spent centuries treated worse then dogs? LOL at white people trying to be today's moral role models when they've been killing and enslaving all through out history.
