This is the first upload of an original song with a complete line-up: me on guitars, Tom Geisler on drums and Shawn Sasser on bass.

Several months ago, Tom talked me into playing some of my originals with him. I was reluctant to upload my own stuff back then but eventually I understood that was the next step to take, so I finally said yes to his request and we started working on giving form to my material.

His drumming is a complete creation of himself on this one. I never thought of how the drums could go so he was totally in charge of it. On the other hand, I sent Shawn a MIDI bass track including what I came up with when playing bass and he learnt it, but improved it with his excellent playing, especially on the third and last part where he improvises some pretty cool passages.

Clovers in the Field (just the beginning) was written on a rainy day. Kind of a contrast to its lively spirit. I was a witness of life´s Balance that day cause this happy tune was born minutes before picking up the phone and learning about some semi-tragic news. In time I understood it: an innocent light in the darkness, as they say.

  • Great song!!!

  • nice! Good job people!:)

  • Curious. Nice, upbeat, but couldn't shake that "a farewell to kings" feeling. I expected original composition to perhaps feel more unique maybe... Flip side is that i really like that era of Rush-music, and the whole production is tight. Good playing...
