Columbia Falls Montana is between Kalispell and Glacier National Park on Hwy 2. Situated along side of the Flathead River, Columbia Falls was once a logging mecca of the Northwest and today is still the home of a thriving timber and lumber business. A visit to any of the town's numerous antique stores is likely to provide a gem of insider history as well as possibly a keepsake historic treasure waiting to be discovered. Fishing for trout in the Flathead River is a summer time and fall sportsman favorite activity as well as canoeing and rafting for miles along pristine natural shorelines.
@braxtonandisaak thanks for your reply...unfortunately I moved back to Florida two months ago and am missing my Glacier hikes! ...The man and wife on the mural were the grandfather and grandmother of a lady I was caretaker for at her small ranch in Kalispell ...enjoy the summer...so miss it now...rj
