When I used to dance to this at the games, I copied the bands motions, and everybody looked at me like I was crazy. Now I can't keep up with it! You gotta work to dang hard to be a Michigan hockey fan! I'm exausted after I go to games now, but I LOVE EVERY SECOND OF IT! GO BLUE!

Los Angeles Kings/Team USA defenseman Jack Johnson's father (Jack Johnson Sr.) started the tradition of "the dance" between periods, but the crowd has modified it a lot.

People in the crowd can modify a bit, and if it looks cool/is fun, then everyone will start doing it. There's a lot of improvisation.

@whitebus2012 Michigan of course but then other big ten schools started useing it but it's a Michigan Hockey tradition
