My favourite Emily Maguire song, so far, is undoubtedly "Falling On My Feet" from her debut album "Stranger Place" and I first heard it via Emily's MySpace site ~ 14 months ago and I am not ashamed to admit that it brought me to tears. The song was written by Emily as she recovered from years of suffering with fibromyalgia, see here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fibromyalgia which she contracted after a car crash when she was just seventeen. I have been to the bottom of life on this planet, twice in my long life, then had to battle back from seemingly overwhelming odds, so I really empathise with this sad, but very comforting song. I will not apologise for the brevity of this Video Clip, as my tiny Sony Cyber-shot camera was working overtime last night at the Bush Hall & just like me, it has limited Memory Space! (LOL) I strongly urge you to get Emily's debut album, then to listen quietly, with no interruptions, to this beautiful, poignant, sensitive song to do it proper justice.

  • Thanks for the comments, I too am very disappointed that I had insufficient Memory Space on my over-worked Camera. I have uploaded another video on YouTube entitled "The Old Man with the Bears" where a complete "Falling on my Feet" is featured as a backcloth.

  • Your voice sounds perfect for this song.

  • A deeply moving song wonderfully performed... has the power to reduce a room full of people to gawping silence.

  • Stunning performance of a deeply moving song, one of my favourite tracks on Emily's superb debut album "Stranger Place". Unfortunately the video is too short. Nevertheless five stars!
