PCOS Lab Results: FASTING GLUCOSE

Some things you might want to check out on your next doctor's visit.

Do a FASTING GLUCOSE (which means that you don't eat anything after a certain hour so that you can have unaffected lab results). I've done it often. When you get it specify that you want:
-Hemoglobin A1C
-Glucose
-Thyroid

Why? Because these are important to women afflicted with PCOS. It's CONCRETE EVIDENCE... not just EMOTIONAL "woe is me" jibber jabber.

well, crappy computer=that's what you get for living in canada, ha ha! anyway, thank you for the doctor compliment. i wanted to be one, but my goodness you've gotta be on top of knowing anything and everything that can happen in the human body. it's a stressful job, therefore, as someone in need of medical assistance it's imperative that i know what's going on so that i'm not totally dependent on what they say (or don't say).

...and with that being said...there's nothing more to say, lol.

I JUST joined ww! and hopefully losing weight will help me....deal with the pcos better.
