I made this video to help those who are interested in the Jack Lalanne power juicer. Also, I made this video for the benefit of those who are interested in juicing in particular. It hopefully is entertaining as well as informative. Below is a rough script that i made before starting production. Please enjoy. Shop around? Good luck!

Jack Lalane Juicer Review Video (rough script).

INTRODUCTION:
Your either buying a Jack lalane juicer.
Thinking about buying one.
Have already bought one.
Or dont know if you should buy one.
This video will give you a closer look into all of this, and hopefully will help you out in some way.

DISPLAY AND IDENTIFICATION:
Ok, heres the juicer. Its a Jack Lalannes "tristar productions inc. Model CL-003AP". The equivilant of the "power juicer classic" as of 3-7-2010. Its similar to the other models. As you can see its white and chrome.....

PROS/CONS:
Pro: It makes juice pretty well once you get it going.
Pro: Its not too big for the counter in the kitchen.
Pro: The cord is a good realistic lenth. 6 Feet about.
Pro: The power draw is not too high. Around 300watts.
Pro: Simple construction. Easy to take apart....
Pro: Quick. (Juice apple)
Con: Larning curve. You cant just throw in stuff and expect it to juice.. Peel your oranges before you put them in... NO BANANNAS!!! Its best to just read the manual. Im lazy tho... and had to screw up a few glasses before i got it down.
Con: The spout is short, like off of the counter short. So you need to get a set of short glasses if you dont have them. Or i believe theres an accessory kit you can get through the company. Maybe put the juicer on a thick cutting block?
Con: The cleaning takes a longer than advertized in my opinion.
Con: The juicer sometimes likes to chuck food in the air... Be carefull. I shal demonstrate...
Con: Dripps... There is another model i believe that has solved this problem. This is not a big deal. I usually put a plate under it and yeah. You can tip the machine forward to get it to kind-of empty out .. but yeah. it will still dripp..

REALITY:
The commercials say "whisper quiet". The machine whispers loudly...
REALITY:
The cleaning will take you time. Espically if you do not have a dishwasher. You need to throughly scrubb all of the parts before you put them in a Dish Washer because the bits of pulp will get caked in the little cracks.
REALITY:
When it juices it gives you a good ammount of juice.. Be carefull. When i first got it i juiced 4 apples.. and then drank the juice. It was great. Its easy to drink 4 apples worth of juice.. However, within about an hour or about a half hour i had to make a ... umm..... an irregular bathroom visit.
REALITY:
I feel great when i drink the juice i make with this thing. I mainly juice apples and carrots. Cucumbers and apples are a good mix too for like a lite. not so sweet or bitter.....juice.
I should insert a disclaimer that i am not a medical doctor. I am not claiming that the juice will make you feel good, cure, prevent, or treat disease. So there.
Just dont be supprised if the juice you drink actually is followed by feeling good.
CONCLUSION/OPINION/HISTORY:
History: Ive had this juicer for over a year. I was going for about three months straight with making a carrot juice followed by an apple juice in the morning before work. At that time i felt extremly good and healthy. My personal life scheduel changed, so my juicing schedueled changed too.

Opinion segment (spin zone beware!!!!)
Dont know if you should get a juicer....... well.. get a juicer. The idea is that the machine brakes down the food for you so that your body doent have to. The body uses energy to brake down food. If the food is already broken down or....as some say"pre-digested" ... then one would only be lead to belive that the energy that was not used in braking down the food from the food would or could be used elswhere in the body for other things.. Good things maybe?. As long as the things you are putting in you are good... .yeah. If you are juicing fruit or veggies that have posionous chemicals on or in them then that may not be good. Try to keep it all organic. And wash your stuff before you juice it.

To bring this all to an end.... I have some final words.
I made this video for the benefit of those who are interested in this product or interested in juicing in particular. So yeah. I hope it helped.

  • good review. liked your editing lol

  • Thanks for the laugh about the orange! I had a juicer years ago and did the same thing! Nasty~ha ha ha!!!

I didn't love that juicer and haven't wanted one since it broke, now I want one again.

  • @PauletteS1972 thanks for the good words and your welcome. There are other brands out there. If i were to give you advice it would be to look into them. I am still using this juicer and its working well.

  • I woke up this morning and my juicer is not working. The silver bar is in place and I pressed the reset button :( Do you have any idea what is wrong with it?

  • @TammyFlores1 Maybe the blade isnt tightened down? (i only do hand tight on the blade) Im not sure if that is what it could be though.. Ummmm. Maybe if your plug in the wall is powered only when a light switch is on? check that. It could be that the first piece you set on the base isnt flush or something? I would suggest to try different plugs around the house.. Otherwise you may have to give them a call and have them Man-up to that lifetime motor warranty they boast about.

    Good luck with it!
