http://jakewright.net - I have been using OS X as my primary OS for over 1 year now, and I still intend to do so. However, there are still some Windows programs that I use, so, I bought a copy of Windows and installed it on my iMac using Boot Camp.

  • Do you need a wired keyboard or can I use the wireless keyboard that comes with the imac. I have a usb mouse though.

  • @TheBloodwyrm It might be a bit more tricky but it should work, and if you've got a USB mouse you'll be able to click your way through most things.

  • Hi, nice video!

I´ve installed windows 7 by bootcamp as you did. But now, when I boot my system, it boots on windows as first choice, to boot mac OS X, I got to keep the Option key pressed and choose mac, how do I boot mac OS X as first choice?

    Thanks!

  • @drjblf Pressing the option key and choosing OS X /should/ set OS X as the default OS to boot. You could try opening the boot camp control panel within Windows from the icon in the system tray and choosing OS X there as the boot drive.

  • @jaketvee Alright. I think I will just get a $5 keyboard though.

  • I have tried to install windows xp on my MacBook Pro, but it sais that some files cannot be moved, It sais I have to format the disk, I have tried that, but then it sais the disk can not be formatted because it is damaged, I have not yet contacted apple about this, should I?

  • i guess Boot Camp is better than VMware or other virtualization softwares. its faster when you use Boot Camp.

  • @drjblf go to sytem preferences, and go to start up disk. there you can choose.

  • @CAMNZ117 never mind. i just had to press restore :) but i now know what i did wrong with instalation :)

  • when mine restarts it says it cant boot from disk and to press any key to restart, but no matter what i press it wont restart. so when i go into boot camp and try to remove the partition, it cant find it. what have i dont wrong?

  • it says when i try and partition the disc, "some files cant be moved".

    can you help me?
