Widely acclaimed as Chinas realest and most raw-hitting rap battle, RESPECT, was the event China Hip Hoppers deem as A dream that became a reality! Intense battles ensued, all MCs who represented threw-down heavy and earned the Respect due. However, in any rap competition, there can only be one... Vyan, hitting hard with gritty rhymes, claimed title of RESPECT BATTLE CHAMPION, all of the amazing prizes, and went on to WIN the Iron Mic VII in Hong Kong!

Over 300 people packed Ping Pong Bar with more then 16 rappers attending the competition. They included established recording artists: Kidgod (Dumdue), Fat B & Vyan (Prosa), AR, MC GG, Soul, MC BIK, Purple F, Y-Man, Wind, Madprole, DR. Laqew, MST Zhou, Rosh G., Race, DR. G, & a special guest appearance by Mastamic! The event was hosted by acclaimed producer BMD of Dumdue, with beats provided by battle master SVT (Urban Savant), maximum respect!

Respect: the Traditional Mc Battle 2008@Ping Pong, It was an exciting night: emotions ran high but crews stayed peaceful. Rude words ended with hugs, emcees came correct off the top of their heads and the crowd loved it. It was a living example of what hip-hop can be in China!
