Hello: Tutorial

When doing this you will need;
Soldering Iron (available from local DIY store or ebay)
How ever many LEDs you want (any colour) I recommend 5mm (ebay number: 350309295186)
Kynar wire (ebay number: 350370740790)
Resistor: (i use 330ohm but the ebay item number above is for 10 blue leds with resistors for 12v)
Wire Strippers

Ok, so you will want to use the dvd drive for your power source (dont worry it should still work perfectly, as does mine) follow this link to see which wires you need to cut into. (http://www.instructables.com/id/Xbox-360-12v-fan-mod/) So you will want to cut the wire to how long you require, once done strip both ends, solder the resistor on (polarity doest matter) then the led, then solder wire to the other leg of the resistor to the ground wire of the dvd drive cable. If you want more leds simply solder them like so /\/\/\.
If you have any problems send me a message.

  • it doesn't matter what way round you put a resistor in...

  • what is the significance of the resistor? what exactly does it do? what size resistor would you recommend for controller dome lights and the xbox 360 lights(motherboard)?

  • @SnipezzProductionz I think you ment Douche lol!

  • Get a better camera if you going to record...

  • @DNGEOnline Thanks, this was when i knew nothing about electronics haha

  • you do know that the resistor can go anyway around the gold bar indicates the tolerance of it, in this case gold mean 5% ( the resistance could be 5% less or more than what is stated) not the sideit should be

  • can you just connect other leds to that original light, or do you need a resistor for each one?

  • @Dakman20 order a new rf module off ebay.com i figured this out on my own and it is not enogh power in the front there for u over load thecircuts it then goes into a powersurge and pushers the power all toward the rf moudule wich of course is the power button if u dont have any money just plug in a wired controller and play like tht order a pre modded led rf bored not a cover its like 13 dollaras hope this helped

  • @gmanpeterson381 such a douche bag hahahaha

  • Have you people seen the Nexilux LED Storm 360 V 2? It plugs right into the xbox with no soldering involved. It has like 7 color choices and a remote control!! It's sick! I do all my custom modz with them. There's this chick gamer that sells them on ebay for 25 bucks. It's easy, clean, safe and smart. Post this comment and support BEASTMODEMODZ!!
