With Audio HiJack Pro's 4FX Filters gives you a dozen filters to enhance your recording and live streaming while grabbing any audio going in and out of your Mac.

In this tutorial I show how you can simulate an expensive audio mixer by playing audio while you are recording your voice and have that be a virtual mic so that Skype for example could use that as a mic in put and you can then play any audio file as if it was playing through a mixer. This is fantastic if your podcasting and cannot afford an expensive mixer.

  • @xHavoc1234 I have not had that happen to me. I would ask if your harddrive is fast enough to capture the sound, but any hard drive is fast enough these days. I have no idea, sorry.

  • @DesigSE102 I tried this today playing World of Warcraft on my Mac, and having my friends chat via Ventrilo, Team Speak and Skype. I had all three chat programs "hijacked" and had the compressor as the last filter / plugin. It worked like a charm. The nice thing is, the volume is totally adjustable if you edit the filter settings.
