While taking my Woodbadge II leadership course through Scouts Canada, many of us came together with our ideas for how to host the Saturday night campfire ceremony for all attendees, at Blue Springs Scout Reserve.
In the days leading up to the course, and with Rememberance Day around the corner, I have only recently started to appreciate the power of one certain statement.
Let it be.
With the state of the world the way it is right now, the conflicts, the suffering and the political instabilities in so many places, there are still people like us that give our time to future generations, with the hope that they too will see that what really matters is the good in all of us, through the Scouting movement.
And with that we 'Let It Be', because there and then, surrounded by our fellow Scouters, is what mattered.
And so we swayed together, sang together, and Let It Be...
