The very sentiments I was going to scribble here - somebody beat me to it.

Learned yesterday, there was only one person left in Vyborg when russians arrived there. This morning, it came to me how people must've felt in taking a last look around before leaving. Leaving from the house they'd lived their lives, raised their families...to live grief-stricken in exile away from MY home, someone else now occupied. To them "tuonen viita" is "onnen viita"

Any Russian reading - be deeply ashamed!!!!!!

As I allready wrote, our State history started allready 650 years ago when king Hakon get us right to vote new king. We are not slavic. By the way, we are not finnic, we are finnish. Vyborg is our families town, still.

I agree Your opinion. Before war we were living in peace. But it was that time before revolution 1917. We Karelians are very happy to be finnish once again. We dont belong to russian, we belong to our old land Finland and Sweden. Our freedom started allready 650 years ago, when king Hakon get us right to wote new king. Our freedom is old and it belongs to history of sweden.

Finland need the karilia.... before the winter war over 450 000 finns escape from white karelia and karelian Isthmus. Now in the full The Republic of Karelia is about 300 000 russians.... russians doesnt need karelia but finland alot..... karelia back to finland!!

That land belonged to Finic tribes LONG BEFORE any Novgorodians had set their foot there.

NO sword, no false talk takes away the land rights the ORIGINAL inhabitants to the district hold.

Further, if the horsethief B (Russians) steals a horse from the horsethief A (Swedes); whose horse is it. Neither ones. The horse STILL belongs to its LIGITIMATE OWNER THE FINNS!!

If I was in your boots, I would owe to past sins of my nation, and would do my utmost to put wrong right.

Apology would be a good starting point. Then become a good politician, and speak out: "My fellow Russians, our Great Nation has 22 000 000 sqkm2 to it, we don't need mere 35 000 sqkm2 we forcibly took from the Finns. Let's give it back to them! Da!"

Fanaticism. NOT at all. It's called JUSTICE. That is, bank robbers held up a bank, killed a teller, and got away with the stuff that didn't belong to them - AND then demanded that the bank pay "restitution" for the expenses of the heist.

At the time, Finland had the gun held to its head and had no choice but to accept. BUT NOW, when colonies are being returned to their legitimate owners, it is only right to demand Russians to relinquish their hold on lands that don't belong to them.
