Music Video for Cyndi Lauper's song 'Hole in my Heart (All the way to China)', written by Richard Orange www.richardorange.info, from the 1988 movie VIBES starring Cyndi Lauper, Jeff Goldblum and Peter Falk. An Asian DVD (was) and oop VHS copies of the film are available on eBay, half.com and Amazon.com, as well as foreign and oop CDs and records featuring the song. The official VIBES DVD was released February 3rd, 2009 from the Sony Martini Movies collection. Its in widescreen with a 2.0 Dolby Stereo mix. It does not included any music videos or extra footage. Show your support and buy it!

Actually, this video WAS in heavy rotation after its release on July. 5. 1988 and went to number 19, i believe on the then existent, "MTV Top 20 Videos."

@WastedPo given that Cyndi is apparently attempting to play a Chinese laundrywoman by pretending to have narrow eyes and wearing a broad bamboo hat, I'd say that the more deteriorated the video quality, the better.

@heddalee, you're honestly wondering what difference it makes if a song or video that people once enjoyed can now only be experienced in a deteriorated version of its former self?

@WastedPo what difference does it make? the video is atrocious. the song isn't much better - a string of cliches strung together like turds on a stick - but at least it's fun, which is more than any person could say of the video.

You can buy the DVD as a USA import on UK Amazon... I forgot all about this film, it's stupid but I loved it so much I wore the VHS out!

I would love it if the original poster reuploaded this video but at a slightly higher quality. (I assume in 2006, this is the best that Youtube would allow for.) You could keep this upload up too, to retain all the comments it's collected.

@WastedPo Would love to. Unfortunately, the original that I have is no better. Grainy with minute freezing, even the A/V sync is messed up identically.
