Motorcycle Touring: Descending Monitor Pass on Hwy 89

Hwy 89's Monitor Pass westbound is a screaming descent for motorcyclists and bicyclists alike. Part of the famous "Death Ride" annual bicycle event, cyclists regularly clock over 55 mph on this stretch. It's not a slow way down by motorcycle either. That's me in the rear view mirror, shooting this video with my iPhone from the back of the Goldwing, wishing I were on my bicycle.

With that music selection I'm fairly confident you two won't get matching jackets and a trailer and turn to a life of Goldwing touring.

A definite no on the trailer. But our jackets do match--kinda. We're both wearing our textile jackets--his is blue, me in red. If he were wearing his Alpinestars leathers I'd be wearing mine. Have you ever toured on your motorcycles?
