Merengue Rhythm - Panga

Every time I watch these videos there is so much to learn. Also, they are funny sometimes because of the way panga used to talk to me. He was very direct and strict.

What a great teacher he was to me during my time in Cuba Summer 2000.

ahhhhh i wanna know how to do it like Panga. Im haveing trouble getting it to sound the way he is. I pretty much learned the merengue rhythm from watching youtube vids. but non of them sound like this one.

@OptimalOne you can hold down the middle of the timba with your opposite hand if you are a beginner, you eventually learn with years of practice how to do it with one hand, giovanni hidalgo, paoli mejias and panga are a few of the congueros who do it with absolute ease now in days. Paoli mejias has good exercise technique videos for just those types of slaps.
