Jerry was Born March 20, 1937
He learned to play guitar at the age of 8 when his mom bought him a two dollar guitar. "I'm proud of the songs, I'm proud of things that I did with Chet (Atkins), I'm proud that I played guitar and was accepted by musicians and guitar players," he told the AP in 1992. I love Jerry..I hope you like this Tribute to him.

Yes, that hairy legged guitar pickin' wildman was (and still is) my all-time favorite...I love all the great "classic" country stuff, but Reed really was it; now give that boy some room and let him pick that guitar son!

ive heard from millions of stations about his death....but i first heard about it from my bitch ass friend who HAD to tell me.....i guess he wanted me to know cuz im such a big reed fan great tribute check out mine. R.I.P jerry

Many a saturday afternoons I cruise my Trans Am up highway 84 to Apple Jacks in La Honda blasting Jerry Reed out my windows. His passing only gets me to turn the volume all the way. You'll be surely missed Mr. Reed. Thank you KrissyGirl for the fond tribute.

I was shocked to hear of Jerry Reed's death today. I'm a long-time fan even though I'm only 31. One of American music's REAL DEAL legends has left us and may his music live on!
I haven't heard a word about the death of this country music legend from the media, but the minute some no-talent star like Britney Spears dies it will be all over magazine covers and TV stations everywhere!
REST IN PEACE JERRY REED...YOUR FANS WILL NEVER FORGET YOUR TALENT AND CONTRIBUTION TO AMERICAN MUSIC.

Isn't that the truth! he was such a talent and I haven't heard a word from the media either! I was hoping for some special of his music and movies. grrrrrr darn people. thanks for the post.
