350/403/455 all the same block owned 2 455's, one 403, and 350 rocket in my 72 cutlass good engines if you can afford the fuel lol..

I just bought a car with a olds 455 in it i never work with this engine before and i was just wondering where the engine ID # is so i can figure out what year it is.

@v8hotrodlincoln I don't think the Holley double pumper is THAT bad, but I agree, the quadrajet is the better carb. A lot of people would go through a lot of time & money to replace their factory carb, when all it needed was a rebuild. A properly running Olds 350 rocket is no slouch either

Olds didnt, Buicks problem was that the oil pump housing was made of alluminum, which can wear out easy, if you know how to bypass it, then buicks worked amazing.
