Antec Dark Fleet DF-85 unRAID Server

This is my unRAID server build. if you don't know about unRAID, I highly recommend it if you are in need of large amounts of safe storage.

@rob3342421 haha, you're right, that's kinda what I would have said - and it's true, there are better cases out there if all you wanna do is add hard drives - but I liked the looks of this, and I like the space it affords me...if I need more drives, i'll just throw them in there. Plus, you can't beat those red fans! ;) Since it is sitting in my work/play room, I wanted a thing that looks kinda badass...

@gerritbot but its a huge case when you dont need all that space inside it just seems like a big waste to me your probably going to say "but the hotswap drivebays make it incredibly easy to add HDD's to this storage server" but there are better cases out there for storage servers! :)

@rob3342421 ...who says I can't? I like the red lights and all, the internal design is pretty good, and I don't have a rack to put an Norco in. So...if it works for me, that should do it, right? ;)

i do quite get it ... i completely get it but i dont see why you'd get such a huge gaming case for a server!!!

@rob3342421 dude, you don't quite get it - this is NOT a gaming rig, but a pure storage server that can hold up to 40TB of data. It doesn't even need a graphics card, since it is administered over LAN. unRAID is a system that requires very little power, so why would I waste energy and money on an overkill rig? All I need is space to throw hard drives in. So stop crying.. ;)

go get an i7 980x and 4x GTX580's (3GB) then water cool the lot! ... honestly what a waste of a beautiful case almost made me cry :(
