I saw this Japanese Hiragana Graffiti word written in on the pavement in a park here in Nagano City, Japan. In Romaji, the Japanese is pronounced "Ha Da". The direct translation for Hada is any of the following: "skin, body, grain, texture, disposition". Perhaps in this case it was the "texture" of the pavement in the park.
