Slavery is a form of forced labor in which people are considered to be, or treated as, the property of others. Slaves can be held against their will from the time of their capture, purchase or birth, and deprived of the right to leave, to refuse to work, or to receive compensation (such as wages).

Freedom from slavery is an internationally recognized human right. Article 4 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights states that "No one shall be held in slavery or servitude; slavery and the slave trade shall be prohibited in all their forms."

  • Thanks you for posting, I've been looking for this information for many years now. Last decade there was a web site ? clothes change reaction. I can't find anymore, it may have been closed down. I'm sure the Rich Designers didn't like it much. This makes me so angry, hope to bring this horrible situation to the light of day. cat

    Thank you for your comment.

Please share my videos with your YT friends, thank you.

A group of greedy corrupt bankers, business people, politicians, media, et al have worked for decades to eradicate the textile industries in North America and Europe. Their goal is to eradicate the middle class and create a global government. One way they accomplish this evil agenda is to take advantage of the poor in third world countries.

May God bless and protect the children.

  • Free trade = Migrant workers are unable to move freely and live in what used to be called company towns, where they are totally dependent and subject to abuses and deprivations. This is tyranny and a denial of human equality–and all of us are supporting it with our cheap I Pads and other electronic products. And yet we hear so much from our betters in the ruling class, along with their courtiers, that China is the model. Sure, if you don’t like freedom

Thank you for your insightful comment.

You are right, we all support slavery through the purchases we make.

  • This is very sad.

I hope the capitalist understand that there must be socialist intervention to regulate such things and put in safe guards for the worker. Just allowing the corporations to make the rules is a silly thing, for they are beholden to no one except their investors, and only then to obtain profit at any cost.

    Corporations and sociopathic entities.

  • Thank you for your comment. Yes, it is very sad.

It is the responsibility of each consumer to tell manufacturers that we do not want products made at the expense of another person's slavery and hardship.

End slavery and child slave labour.

We must hold these corrupt corporations and governments accountable for their inhumane treatment of the working poor.

  • Glad to hear it, your hosts sound like good people. I, too, felt great shame after looking at the labels on my clothes. The problem is...everything is made in a sweatshop.

We all bought the bull that was fed to us about free trade and how it would be beneficial...beneficial for who? big multinational corporations who make billions off the sweat of the poor.

  • They might be well hidden. I remember when much of what was purchased in Canada was made in Taiwan. Bangladesh and India have a lot of sweatshops and China is the biggest of all. i refuse to buy any Nike products.

  • PS. I've been looking around Taiwan to see if there are sweat shops or if child labor is being used, but so far I've not seen it. They appear to fear China saturating their market with cheap products made from slave labor, and many business's in Taiwan have closed down to reopen in China. Nike was one of them many years ago.
