I am a 22 year old black straight male. But when I heard this song once by chance, tears came rolling down my eyes. Never happened before, or with any other song since. Those words hit me.

makes me cry.........wow
About transcendence,
Even here, young and beautiful, she evokes all the unendurable pain that's endured by old people all about us. She makes each song an epic of people that we don't even know, but come to know because she sings to us of them. This magic is beyond me. Thank God that sometimes he sends us these people. Watch how the smile rises from her mouth to her eyes, and the smile rests there.

One of the few singers who knows how to deliver artfully. She takes the listener to a different world, because she sings from her heart. Captivating. This is not about voice technique or texture of the sound. This is about singing with feelings and being completely immersed in what she is singing about, and being able to identify with it completely. And she knows just how to do that. I admire her talent, she is amazing. She was born to be a bright star in the art world for sure.
