go to DoBeDo.co.uk and click film #002 to see the full 23 minute documentary.
documentary made in response to the uncertain future of the undercroft skateboarding area on london's southbank.
skateboarding on the southbank could soon be no more! since the early seventies the undercroft - the sheltered area beneath the queen elizabeth hall on londons southbank - has served as the home of the skateboarding community in the UK. its an open public-space that has brought together thousands of young people, from various backgrounds, over the last 35 years to form a harmonious and positive community. but it is now under threat!
update: DoBeDo.co.uk has had over 10,000 views of this documentary which stirred 4,296 people to sign the petition before it closed. THANK YOU to all who signed. go to DoBeDo.co.uk to read the government's response to the completed save the southbank petition.
I'm currently making an HD documentary about skaters rights to public space in London. I'm currently pooling opinions and getting some good interviews set up. If you feel passionately about saving the undercroft, and even restoring it to its former glory, let me know. Or even if u rekon u could lay down a switch trey or a tasty little combo, the film should get some decent circulation and the footage will get back to you. Peace and save the Southbank

Not only is graffiti ignored as a form of artistic expression but its participants are prosectuted and paraded in front of the 'law abiding' as the skum of london and lost causes.
Whilst painting I was informed by two self righteous police wannabees (community support) that the Bricklane Hall of Fame is no longer a legal place for graffiti and if i were to continue i would be prosecuted...

I Just watched this film on 'Dont Watch That TV', (live webpage) its a very interesting film but I am totally confused by the choice the film makers made to ignore one of the most important part of Southbank culture....
GRAFFITI!
The skaters do bring a good reflection of youth and urban culture but is constantly set on a backdrop of some of the best graffiti artists in the world exhibited for all of the tourists, workers and 'southbank security' to drewl over!
