In loving memory of *Fernando Gomez*, the drummer who taught classes at Passing Clouds for many months and was a central feature at the legendary Sunday Jam Sessions at Passing Clouds. Nando was much loved by many. He was also known both for his skill in making and tuning drums and for his drumming tuition at many schools and colleges.

Nando abruptly passed away from anthrax poisoning a week ago leaving his wife and four small children. The event was to celebrate Nando's life and music.

The evening was hosted by Planetman and the Internationalz and featured many of the internationally acclaimed musicians who played with Nando at the Sunday Jam Sessions including Kodjovi Kush and Adesose Wallace.

I met Nando on a government funded camp and he was the musician, i only met him the once but the 5 days i spent with him were brilliant.

He was so encouraging and had a heart of gold.
