I took lessons from 1968 Jerry Hahn when he lived in Fairfax Marin County and played wiht the JH Brotherhood with Mel Martin, Mel Graves now deceased, and Bruce Marshal on drums. They were fusion. Jerry had a lot of technique and taught many accomplished musicisan exercises and theories on improvising. You either the fusion of multiple styles or you dont' I like to play like it more than listen to it but nice hear Jerry again.
John Handy said in the 60s:Jerry Hahn, came fro Wichita.Kansas:"I heard him first at Jacks,Old SF,,on Sutter Street,,, HE is good,,constantly exciting!!!!!
This is fantastic stuff. His sense of timing and the feel, taking chances on the edge. That's what its about, not just playing a lot of fast licks which he is capable of. I first saw Jerry on a show on PBS in the early 70's called guitar guitar when I was in my early teens. He looked psychedelic back then with an avant-garde jazz group. He was using a wah wah pedal, real weird sounding free style stuff, but fun to listen to. I'm glad to see he is still kickin' it.

It's hard to believe this is the same guy who was teaching in the same guitar studio as me back in the old San Francisco days.
Love and admire this cat forever!

One of my favorites and a legend; I wish he'd tour more. I loved him with Gary Burton back in the day.
