I hope that they will use more of these lasers at concerts. so ppl will stop blocking the sight with cameras and smartphones.

I love you Monday Morning Quarterbacking hindsight mofos. Sorry we all don't read up on the interaction between lasers and cameras like you guys.

bahaha! Sorry but that was pretty damn interesting to see that happen :\

Common issue with Fuji cameras. On other cameras, lasers leave burnt pixels but on fujis entire sensor is destroyed.

I know this was in Belgium and laws are different, but in the US its actually illegal for any audience member to be within 3 ft of the actual device or for the laser to actually be aimed (at any point) towards the audience. Of course for underground raves or clubs this is probably the least of their concern. If it happen is the US and cameras weren't prohibited the camera owner would have recourse against the facility/event. Food for thought...

@sirradiodude Yes interesting indeed. I agree with the US policy - of course cameras were officially prohibited at Werchter too but not really enforced. I got the camera replaced under warranty so it didn't affect me too badly, but I'm not convinced its safe to shine a laser into the audience either.
