  • I cant wait till it comes out too DVD today!! =D

  • escuchando naked city, y vidiando esta.

  • I'm surprised that R. Crumb didn't work on this.

  • this comes out on dvd march 13

  • @mdude009 I understand. I see both sides of this issue; on one hand I see what Bakshi was trying to do. On the other hand I can understand why some members of the African American (even the not-so-beloved Al Sharpton) community may react so negatively: it's a very very touchy issue because many blacks or someone in their family lived it. Racial imagery, even when used in a satirical/ironic manner will illicit a visceral reaction and some argue that it's a trivialization of serious issue.

  • @gnomechomskylives All I'm saying is people shouldn't instantly rate something based on the trailer or first 10 minutes, the film has a point to make, as Bakshi said "the film is not anti-black, it's anti-idiot"

  • @mdude009 You know it's easy to call people dumbasses when you've not seen or experienced even an iota of the institutional racism that existed during the 70s and prior. While the group in question definitely erred in jumping to conclusions, even I squirm a little at some of the imagery in the trailer. I can't blame anyone for being a little defensive. Have some compassion. Bakshi knew he was making a controversial film when he made this, and it was bound to get some flak.

  • Great damn movie, too bad the whole central idea of it flew over the heads of some dumbass organization that mistook satire for racism.

  • @dakingjraydz same director.
