Swingtime performs "Mack the Knife" at their 2008 spring show, "Mean Swing". Swingtime is Stanford's swing dance performance group, and is famous for their ridiculously fun performances with smooth swingouts and high flying aerials.

"Mack The Knife" is a playful piece choreographed by Ed Fei and Chengos Lim to the music of Westlife. This piece starts out with a laid back feel, but builds throughout with exciting solos, and then climaxes with a dynamic wave of aerials. You would never guess it from the cheery tune of the music and the fun dance moves, but "Mack the Knife" is actually an English translation of a German murder ballad from "The Threepenny Opera" about a sinister Mackie Messer.
