Keynote Address by Deputy Minister Andrew Yang

Andrew Yang is the Deputy Minister for Policy at the Ministry of National Defense, R.O.C. (Taiwan). Prior to this, he was the Secretary General of the Chinese Council of Advanced Policy Studies, a leading Taiwanese think tank. Previously, he was an assistant professor at the General Studies Program of the National Sun Yat-sen University and a lecturer at the Senior Strategic Studies organized by the Ministry of National Defense. He has served as an advisor to the Ministry of National Defense for the Defense Report, the Mainland Affairs Council, and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. He was also head of International Collaboration and Exchange at the National Sun Yat-sen University. He holds a B.A. degree in Sociology from Fu Jen University, an M.A. degree in Industrial Sociology at the University of Reading, and M.Sc. degrees in Economics at the London School of Economics, and Political Science at the University of London.
