I have a Windows Vista PC but I use Safari primarily.
The only way Firefox is better than Safari is that on Windows it uses less RAM and it has a session restoration

The speed of Safari launch depends on how long is your browser history. Mine was set to 1 month and it was taking a very long time to launch

I must say that's true because I have Windows Vista, and one of the newest Compaq laptops. So, yeah...

well maybe its just cuz i have an older computer. and, unfortunately, mine sometimes quits on me. it might close for no reason. it'll take a long time to load something, then i get the "report an error" message. and sometimes it refuses to load a youtube video. so urs mite be fine cuz u have a newer computer =)

No, I have Windows, and mine loads almost just as fast as that. Mine doesn't load up slow at all...

no, i have safari on windows and it loads up really slow. its just the processor in a macbook: intel core2duo.

so does the speed of ur computer increase if u use safari?
I think Firefox is more extensible than Safari -- might be a better choice for seriously hardcore web surfers. I try it out every now and then, to try and convince myself to switch from Safari, but ultimately I stay w/ Apple's browser. It's a lot quicker on its feet and simpler to use.

Safari is the best. the non BETA version of it certainly opens up faster...
