Hate Speech at University of Oregon not welcome

So, yesterday, I was at UO (the University of Oregon, in Eugene) because it was Career Fair day and I had some time to kill before a doctor's appointment. Well, what I didn't know was that every year, a group of Christians with a rather narrow view of what it means to be Christian (and indeed human) comes and condemns the entire crowd for being sinners, especially gays, atheists, people who watch porn, and fornicators.

As someone who resembles all of that, I take a bit of offense to being told I'm an inherently bad person for being me.

So did most of the crowd, especially one Christian present who did not take kindly to her religion being used to justify hate speech.

You're going to hear various viewpoints from the crowd around me, some of which you might or might not agree with. Some were topical, others flippant, and others potentially offensive.

This happens up here at Portland State University. Several girl shouting their anti-gay slurs so the whole city here. Well at least UofO has to suffer too.
