Incredible video, and incredible mission! very realistic!
Okay, at the risk of sounding like a total flight sim noob (I was very much into flight sims back in the 90s but not so much now): I thought the A-10 Warthog was supposed to fly low? I noticed throughout the video you'd be flying at 13,000ft+. Wouldn't you be at the mercy of SAMs and other potential threats? I'm curious since that was my impression of Warthog combat. Great video though :)

@mikepalomino They still do, but since the update of A-10 to the C version (A-10C) the way the warthogs operate has changed, mainly due to their targeting pod. You can locate and target enemies at a great distance, and its best done from a high altitude. We knew that there were only medium range AA's in the area, and those have a max ceiling height of about 12-15,000 feet. We stood above that range to avoid lock, and came down only for gun runs. Low flying for serious SAM sites only.

hey ralfi what HOTAS buttons do i really need to bind to my logitech extreme 3d pro? i can set the 6 buttons on the base of the stick as modifiers then use the hat switch for forward/back/left/right/etc. i just need to know which HOTAS controls are more frequently/more importantly used

@CPOSerrano TMS, DMS, COOLIE, and SLEW. Wouldnt hurt to have TRIM there too. Very important are CHINA HAT keys and helps to have BOAT switch. Not to mention Air Breaks (deploy and close). Set your trigger to two stages if thats possible to be able to use PAC mode if switched on.

do you play with unlimited ammo? that seemed like alot for one mission

@aescobar32 Not to mention the times we got shot down. Those pesky BMPs have surprising accurate gun fire when trying to gun them down. Plus all the infantry with shoulder mounted AAs that dont show up very well on the TGP... As for ammo, we did RTB quite a few times. Our payload mainly consisted of about 14 laser guided bombs each, so about 28 targets went down on each run, not including all the gun runs. Then we switched payloads to cluster bombs and mavericks here or there.
