Bright House Networks has been taking advantage of the bad economy by stealing pay from workers who likely wouldn't be able to find honest work elsewhere. One way they're doing this is by $100 "charge-backs." Very few installation jobs pay even half of $100, so workers who spend hours on an installation wind up paying Bright House, as well as losing ALL the pay for their time and labor, for being accused of any mistake made during the hundreds of tasks they perform to complete the job. This would be bad enough if the accusers were always honest, but QC ("Quality Control") techs, in an attempt to justify their own paychecks in this scary recession, often sabotage, plant evidence and outright lie in their mission to find excuses to give jobs a failing score. Of course, Bright House has no incentive to correct this. After all, they're getting free labor out of the deal from workers who are treated like employees, but have none of the benefits or legal protection that employees get.

  • None of you BH apologists have been able to justify taking $100 out of someone's pocket for an alleged mistake or oversight on an $11 job. BECAUSE YOU CAN'T. One sided? Maybe. But unlike QC techs, at least I stuck to the truth and didn't make shit up.

  • @MegaTattleTale Where was anybody learning this side of the story before this video? (And there's a lot more where this came from--I haven't even scratched the surface yet.) How about YOU lose half a hard day's labor, or a full day during slow season, every time someone accuses you of making a mistake? Bet you wouldn't think this was such a fair policy then.

  • Was that "theloadvoice" or "theloadinhismouth"?

If it costs $90 to roll you guys out, why do they think it's fair to pay us $3 for a trip charge?

  • When companies learn a happy employee/contractor benefits the company more so than a person felling stuck in a jobless market and taking full advantage of it is not only wrong but is a show stopper. It will come to an end rather it be a walk out or forced government action. I am surprised being out the business for only a few years now it hasn't died yet!

I want to say what I want to do but that would considered a threat so i wont say but you can guess! God bless who ever made this video thankyou! MAKE IT VIRAL! You guys deserve it and alot more!

  • I was was a Sub in the Polk county area, In house for Bright house is way over worked, & way under paid too! & they do have some pretty cool cats working for them to, They have a guy I think his name is Bonky he worked in Davenport, he helped me all the time, If I had bad levels he came out changed several taps for me, while I was running the lines, like he always told me if it has a piece of equipment it should have all new fittings on it! Even behind the wall plate! you will never fail thatway

  • I am an ex knight employee. everything in this video is true. The tech gets blamed for everything. I once told a customer that I found a broken ac vent in the attic. He might want to fix it . He did and Bright House back charged me $200 for the repairs. To bad on me. They took $100 for a scratch on a wire. Another $100 for a cable line I didn't even install. The thing that really got me is that the Bright House QC tech didn't even fix the mistakes. No one did.

  • Don`t forget guys..someone has to pay for Jeff Knights Crack habit...

  • still waiting on more!!!
