Their is a sucker born every second. A fool and his money is soon parted. There is money to be made from people wanting to go green and we are going to take it all. People are dumb.

@Zamboro Yeah i got nothing to add ^^ great :)

But a coal plant does not power only one car. For a fair comparison you would need to work out what percentage of the pollution generated by a coal plant is attributable to an individual vehicle. If you google "MIT Wheel to well analysis of EVs" you will find an MIT study of the same name demonstrating that even when charged from the present grid (which is only 45% coal, not 100%, and a full 30% nuclear and renewables) EVs remain cleaner than gas vehicles due to greater efficiency.

Revolt??? Are they kidding? I get what they meant, but the lesser definition rules in this case. "Revolt" is revolting!
On the other hand, it is kind of cool.

I think we should cross our fingers for fusion.

Why are they suppressing conversions? Conversion kits are the most economical course for electric cars evolution as a whole for a country but they make everybody spending more for the new industry monopoly way before you can drive one on the road. Most cars on the roads now-a-day have saver frames in case of head on collision but they want to scam you with the bankers that's all.
This is a joke.
There are electric cars just as good as gas ones.

Agreed, bring the price down or don't bother. For a single seat vehicle, that's way to expensive.
