God tells Abraham that he is about to destroy Sodom and Gomorrah and sends two angels to the city to see how evil they are. The angels rescue Lot and his wife and two daughters and then God rains down fire and brimstone as Lot and his fami;ly escape to the mountains. But Lots wife turns back and is turned into a pillar of salt.

  • Yes, God judges all sin and He certainly did it clearly at Sodom and Gomorrah.

  • Thank you for your comment. I am not teaching anything here, my story is just the simple reading of the passage. You have just as much right as I do to interpret it as you want, but the story is the same for both of us. I just want to present what the Bible says.

  • Absolutely!

  • When you are talking about God it is easier to talk about what God does than why He does it. To answer a "why" question about God you would of necessity have to be as all knowing as God.

  • Thanks for your comment and encouragement. I do them with Photoshop CS5 and Premiere Elements.

  • It doesn't have to make sense, it is just a historical record of what happened. It was not right but that is what Lot did.

  • they want to rape them, but god judges all sin. For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.

  • Umm. . . I hate to break it to you, but you didn't really finish the chapter.

  • @xXDISASTERPIECE934Xx they were turned into salt as well. ...er..i mean ASH. yeah, they were smashed and burned by celestial molotov cocktails.

  • @thousandlegger oh i see, good thing god loves them....

  • @thousandlegger Yes, it's in the context of your faith.

  • @teebig Jeremiah 8:8 ......it's IN context.

  • @TheAmine90210 why not?

  • @TheAmine90210 Right, otherwise your God will send 2 female bears to mawl them.

2 Kings 2:23-24 Then [Elisha] went up from there to Bethel; and as he was going up the road, some youths came from the city and mocked him, and said to him, “Go up, you baldhead! Go up, you baldhead!” So he turned around and looked at them, and pronounced a curse on them in the name of the LORD. And two female bears came out of the woods and mauled forty-two of the youths.

  • @thousandlegger offering one's daughter or wife (wives) to visitors is not uncommon in many tribal societies. The fundamentalists love this story to condemn homosexuality but this is not about homosexuality. The men who wanted to "play" with the abngels were sexually wonton & would hv had sex with a stone if they could. God destroyed Sodom & Gomorrah b/c it was entirely corrupt xcept for Lot & his family. In the hnd the Bible says that what was going on was an abomination, NOT a sin
