The revolver has been overlooked by lots of people because of the glamour that the semi auto enjoys. I am just making a few observations on why I feel a revolver may still be one of the most "tactical" handguns currently available.

  • You also forgot to mention that with a revolver you can interrogate a captive by playing russian roulette at his head with it. Can't do that with a semi-auto. (yeah, I'm sick, I know.)

  • I love revolvers for self defense...My smith and wesson bodyguard or My ruger sp101 are on me almost all the time and when their not on me their in the night stand with a light. I just trust revolvers to go boom when they need to.

  • Just wanted to say thanks. This video was very helpful. It confirmed what my instincts were telling me: there's abundant wisdom in selecting a revolver over a semi in certain applications. For example, in bedside (home) self defense scenarios. Much appreciated!

  • @johnnymagnum357 I agree, also the word weapon, it's a rifle/pistol not a weapon,it's a tool to be used,it's only a weapon when using it offensively to do harm, other than that it's just a tool to acquire food(hunting) or to defend yourself.Liberals love the word weapon.

  • When I was younger, I liked semi autos. Now that I am older, I prefer wheel guns. Another thing you forgot to touch on is, that you can leave a revolver loaded indefinitely with no adverse effects. With a semi auto, the magazine spring will fatigue if left loaded for extended periods of time. Ideal for bedside pistol safe home defense.

Not to mention that revolvers are more accurate.

To me, the perfect handgun is am american made. 357 with no less than a 4" barrel.

  • @happyending3000 lol i carry a revolver so i dont need a backup! only cops need a backup/ plant gun!

  • great vids man, I would like to talk to everyone about the over use of the word "tactical" its cool and popular to call everything tactical but it scares the liberals, I feel like using the term sporting or defensive is my word of choice as it convays the true reason for firearms with is defense not offense! We all know how this game is played, libs try and use inflamitory words to get the point across and i see a firestorm brewing with all this "tactical" talk! just food for thought.

  • Hmmm...you bring up very valid points. I never thought about revolvers this way. Thanks for the vid!

  • i agree 100% with this guy !!!!!

  • @Robikus Also, you don't have to pick up the brass like you would with a semi-auto, if you need to get away and not leave evidence a revolver is the way to go.

  • @Robikus You need a special round for that - one without powder and firing cap. Would not want to waste that prisoner... =)
