The styles are very well done but everything is the same color, and basically the same design. I thought the show was boring and the choice of color.

You seem to have no idea of what a modern wardrobe is. Look at YSL's last shows before his retirement. They were not modern for that time and hence, he decided to retire. YSL was irrelevant for years until Ford took over and over glamorized the house. Pilati on the other hand brought back elegance and class and the essence of YSL which you clearly don't know about. The house is back in the black and YSL himself approved of Pilati before he died. That's enough to speak for the man. Peace :)

@ogepma LOL
Translation:
You're "lashing out" because I noted the obvious about Pilati's work, and as you seek "status" by hitching your wagon to his "star", your feelings were hurt...so, you whine.
After seeing just one of YSL's collections, it's clear that none of his "successors" are up to the job.
Pilati may have access to the archives, but, he doesn't have YSL's taste level or ability to create an iconic, modern woman's wardrobe.
He's a good design assistant.
Move on, babe.:)

This just isn't YSL in terms of quality, tailoring, color, cut, textiles, etc.
NO ONE cut a better skirt than YSL. Check out his HC shows.
It looks like SP just didn't do his homework or...he's just not up to the job.
YSL's clothes were for powerful, sensual, dynamic, chic WOMEN with personality & grace.
These clothes, as w/ Valentino's new offerings, serve only to make the label's namesake work look that much better in retrospect.
If only JPG had taken YSL's offer...

I adore Pilati, but it seems to me that the YSL shareholders are holding him back. The color palette, even though it's great, reminds me too much of Oscar De La Renta. The designs, which may hold a slight essence of Pilati; nothing like Spring or Winter of 08, remind me too much of Carolina Herrera.

Will always love YSL. They have some master tailors working for them! And who else loves the shoes at :58?
My fave piece were the gauchos at 2:50!

The Master and his masterpeices.

Beautiful. That is All.
@TheReturnOfStephan1 Have you seen these clothes in real life to know the quality? This collection was inspired by the clothes Catherine Denuve wore (designed by YSL) for the movie Belle de Jour. SP has done his home work. He knows about YSL history a lot better than you can ever claim, I really hate it when people always pretend they are masters of the YSL archives. YSL designed for 40 years! over 200 collections to draw inspiration from. So please don't pretend like you know YSL more than him.

ablsolutely adore this collection!!! very Yves BUT very Stefano as well. I could really see Stefano go back to where he began for his first collection for the house back in 2005, wich I loved straight away. This was a consolidation of the heritage and a vision for the future!
