Guys, if this petition gets 100,000 signatures then the house of commons HAVE to discuss this! This plus the report from CLEAR has to be enough to bring about real change,

Sign this please and sent it to everybody you know, post it on pro-pot videos, facebook, twitter WHATEVER just please get it out there! 100,000 signatures also means the parties know theres at least that many people up for the idea!!

    Lets get it out!

  • the worse the UK becomes off financially the more likely they are to legalise it, policing costs drop, prison costs drop, crime rates drop, economy gets better cause all users have surplas cash to spend in shops, cannabis growing products sell bettering the economy and making jobs, people will be better of in health ways cause it boosts the immune system so NHS be better off. lets hope our economy crumbles then they will legalise it

You saved me some time, I was going to post that petition as well, really do spread the word about that petition. I really want to hear what they have to say because none of it about weed being illegal will make any sense, just like it didn't make any sense in the 30's.

  • and the 'paranoia' said to come from cannabis usage - might not some of that be purely because of its legality, that the user is then in a heightened state of awareness and has a fear of being caught or getting into trouble in some way.

looking at the likes of the 'Psychedelic Experience' guidebook (Bardo Thodol, Tibetian Book of the Dead) the most important thing is Set & Setting, get those wrong and you can have a bad trip. A setting in which the substance is illegal is a bad setting overall.

  • just to address that 'stronger THC being harmful' rubbish also - that makes absolutely no sense in any historical context, as hashish has far higher amounts of both THC and CBD, and has been used therapeutically in medicine for 1000s of years. Asia, Europe, you can find it in herbals. Queen Victoria used to use it for period pains. it's featured in Ayurvedic texts.

  • a further important point about mental illness definitions is that they don't seem to have any pathology attached - meaning in an autopsy for example, you couldn't determine that the person had whatever mental illness they may have been diagnosed with, as there is little to no physical basis for it.

it just depends on what those doing the diagnosis percieve as 'normal', and given that much of how society is run & living conditions are anything but normal, how to measure responses to that.

  • overall point being, the reasons cannabis & entheogens etc are illegal in the first place isn't just due to the dupont etc & other anti-hemp money conspiracies, it's also about a total denial of reality itself, to reduce it to a version only recognised by some types of science.

and a sane healthy society wouldn't do that. there's plenty of info on how in more natural cultures, people with 'schizo' symptoms are recognised as being potential shaman & healers etc.

  • @Hughie62 - what do you mean exactly, the guy leading this agrees with the cannabis causes insanity rubbish?

i read over the Clear site there, though it doesn't support that it doesn't discuss the larger issues surrounding what mentally healthy actually means either.

for example, what it lists about schizophrenia - some people maybe hear voices etc and use that wrongly. but the fact is that things like the aethers & paranormal & being psychic are real things. that can't be ignored.

  • PR has reinforced the worst cannabis propaganda by his regurgitation of the

high THC/Skunk/ =mental illness bullshit, if you look on his websites and read

his previous and in some cases current debunking of the very crap he has included in his legalisation proposal one can only surmise the man is a complete hypocrite, for a couple of years now he has debunked all the prohibitionist constructs that he now presents as fact to the government,

    plainly and obviously hypocrisy.
